The Black Belt Path.
Being a black belt is not just becoming a better fighter. It is about becoming the best that you can be in every way. Here is the road every DoMA student walks.

Every color, earned.
Students advance through the ranks by passing promotion tests, with split belts along the way (Blue White, Purple White, Purple Black, Brown White, Brown Black) before red belt, poom and black belt.
Beyond black belt.
DoMA's leadership programs turn strong students into leaders, teachers and, for a very few, masters.
- White to red belt
Trial Program
Our entry level program, where students are introduced to the basics of Taekwondo and build a solid foundation of its physical and mental sides. Students learn basic movements and self-defense first. As their skills improve, advanced stances, kicking, punching and blocking are introduced.
- 1st Dan
Black Belt Club
Top students who work hard and excel in the Trial program are recommended and approved by the panel of masters and instructors for the Black Belt Club. Members wear a special black uniform, attend specialized classes available only to members, and train rigorously for the Black Belt Promotion Test.
- 2nd Dan
Jr. / Asst. Leader
One of our most prestigious honor programs. Leaders wear a white and black trimmed uniform and attend rigorous leader training classes. They build leadership skills by teaching other students and joining our elite demonstration team.
- 3rd Dan
Instructor Program
This program makes you a role model and a great leader in life. Very few, and only the best, are recommended. Instructors conduct classes, teach students, assist in promotion tests and judge at tournaments.
- 4th Dan
Master Program
A master level in Taekwondo is an exceptionally high honor. Masters wear the Master uniform and have the opportunity to become a school leader and operate one of our centers, trained as a leader in Taekwondo and in life.

The forms that carry the art.
Every rank comes with its poomsae, the traditional forms of Taekwondo. Color belts learn a new form at each rank. Black belts go on to Koryo, Keumgang, Taebaek and Pyongwon.
Training rotates through forms, self-defense, sparring, combination kicking and board breaking, so students arrive at each test ready.
